Marcandole is a renowned restaurant located in the province of Treviso whose profound renovation was born from the owner’s desire to adapt the restaurant’s spaces to the high quality of the cuisine, which is well-known and loved throughout the region and beyond. Natural shades have been chosen for the new spaces, ranging from beige to warm gray and brown, with textured surfaces such as contemporary stone flooring with honey oak wood inserts or artisan-style terracotta tiles. Each dining area stands out for its original design choices that address functionality and interact with each other, giving character to the restaurant, like the cash register at the entrance, a sculptural block covered in polished brass, seemingly suspended in space. An oak wood screen with 3D shapes is a backdrop for a large oval table in cipollino marble, illuminated by delicate copper-colored chandeliers.
The same shapes create the wall paneling that offers glimpses of the chefs at work in the kitchen. The new wing of the restaurant is characterized by a ceiling covered in natural matting reminiscent of the typical fishermen’s huts in the Venetian lagoon. Here a large three-sided fireplace divides the space, and at its base, with a terrace effect, a rare natural stone adds elegance and grace. Close attention has been paid to the lighting design and the balance between technical and decorative lighting, resulting in a warm and soft atmosphere. The exterior facade has been completely redesigned and enhanced with a new entrance and a landscape project that takes inspiration from riparian vegetation, incorporating a well-thought-out blend of perennial plants, flowering shrubs, and fragrant plants.
