Not only a space but a truly innovative communication format: a unique way to communicate the brand’s soul, illy Gallery is a pop-up space to share, love and live the illy experience through cultural events, tales and flavours; today in one place and tomorrow in another. It changes each time, never being the same, except for its distinctive element, the Chandelier of art collections, an icon upon which the complete illy art collection is displayed (a steel spiral that descends from the ceiling with soft curves contributes celebrating the art and creativity of more than 350 illy art collection pieces). The first version of the incredible chandelier installation dates back to May 2004 when the coffee museum was conceived and opened for display at illycaffè in Trieste.

In the years to follow, analogous solutions were produced with substantial construction variants that rendered the structure easier to build, transport and display: from the display of the illy Gallery in New York on West Broadway, to the Warner Center of New York, to the temporary space of Trieste and the UDesign exhibit in Udine, for which a special framework in brushed stainless steel square tube was created: a new resolution to a technical / logistical problem with the further aesthetic and scenic quality of the installation. Today the illy Gallery has taken shape in New York, Milan, London, Trieste, Brussels, Istanbul, Berlin and Beijing.
